We’re Restructuring

Based on the emails we continue to receive, we know everyone is eager for HGA to begin accepting submissions again. We’ve determined that the operating partners of HGA need to be someone from the industry who can truly drive the brand forward. Over the past few months, a few interested parties have come forward, but nothing has been solidified, and it appears that we may be back to square one on that front. We will not reopen until a strong industry partner presents itself, as we believe this is the best path forward for both the company and our customers.

Until then, we are still not processing cards, selling new memberships, or renewing current memberships. For anyone with an active membership before our announcement in 2024, your membership renewals have already been canceled.

We have thoroughly appreciated the feedback we’ve received so far through our Jotform link. It reaffirms that HGA is a grading card company geared toward personal collectors through our high-quality slabs and label options. If you haven’t yet provided feedback, please do so. All of this will be helpful as HGA prepares to reopen.

HGA started in 2021 during the Covid Era and became one of the fastest growing card companies in history with over 500,000 cards being graded so far. Demand for our products and services was high. Unfortunately, like other card grading companies at that time, HGA faced challenges in meeting promised turnaround times and became overwhelmed. The company changed hands and that new ownership was not able to regain the same success as before using the same model which led to us acquiring the company about 10 months ago in October 2023. We temporarily filled the CEO role and have worked hard to understand what the industry is seeking and how we can deliver on that.

Given what we have learned, we have decided to restructure our business model, change our website and ordering platform, and bring on an operating partner that understands this industry and has a passion for it. Unfortunately this means we will have to pause orders temporarily while we undergo these changes. We will finish out the cards we have in our pipeline and then go to work creating this new model and finding the right partner and leader. We will launch a model that focuses on those customers that appreciate our amazing custom labels, our quality cases, and our consistent grading. When we relaunch, our model will be simple, high quality, and really cater to the collector that appreciates the high quality offered by HGA. We realize that we may not be the ideal company for everyone and that is ok as there are several other grading companies that fill different niche’s that can service those customers. For HGA, we will be focused and deliver a quality product.

As we work to relaunch HGA, we want to hear from those customers that have remained faithful to us and may have ideas and feedback that can help us truly be what the industry needs and structure it in a way that is both good for our team members and our customers.
